Netball was first played in England in 1895 after finding its way from the USA as the original women's basketball.  After a few modifications and misinterpretations of basketball rules the sport of NETBALL was born.  Netball's popularity quickly spread throughout the British Commonwealth Countries and today is played by over 20 million people in more than 70 countries. Pretty amazing considering it is virutally unknown in the USA.  In other countries across the globe, Netball is an integral part of empowering women, with every school girl growing up playing Netball.
