Netball found its way to England from the USA more than 100 years ago as the original women’s basketball. After a few misinterpretations of the rules and modifications the sport of NETBALL was born. Netball’s popularity quickly spread throughout the British Commonwealth Countries and today is played in more than 80 countries. You may be shocked to know that Netball is the most popular women’s team sport in the world. Pretty amazing considering it is virtually unknown in the USA. In other countries across the globe, Netball is an integral part of empowering women, with every school girl growing up playing netball.
