Netball In Education
Junior Teams

A word from a lifelong player...

"I played Netball since I was 5 years old. It really helped to make me the leader I am today. The sportsmanship taught me loyality and team work, ethics and hard work. I learned not to give up, to work towards a common goal, for the benefit of the team, and to remain positive in the face of adversity. Netball is an outlet which allows young girls to realize their strength and growth. I can't imagine my life without it."

Faye Hall, President, Phoenix Heat

My name is Yara Gorashi and when I started playing Netball in my 8th year of school I immediately fell in love with the sport.

Netball In Education:

Youth Enrichment Netball Program - a Netball America initiative to integrate Netball into the American school physical education curriculum.

Netball America is committed to positive youth development in the USA. The purpose of the program is to encourage children to participate in Netball through a structured program and establish links between schools and associations, thereby increasing participation. Ultimately, Netball America aims to offer Netball players the same opportunities (scholarships and grants) as afforded to other sports in the USA.

In September 2009, Netball America teamed up with the Martin Luther King Jr Community of Learners to work with the kids to teach them about health, fitness, stretching and the basic rules of Netball. Read about their experiences here.
